About the Conference

PM2026 comes to Baltimore, MD, themed “Securing the Future” to show how preventive medicine will transform health and healthcare. The College's presence in Baltimore offers a unique opportunity to enhance the visibility of the profession and positions preventive medicine physicians as public health leaders across diverse sectors, from clinical care and public health agencies to prominent academic institutions.

Preventive medicine physicians are uniquely positioned to shape long-term solutions that go beyond short-term crisis response. Thus, the theme addresses the urgent need to balance immediate needs with long-term planning to ensure that both our workforce and necessary preventive measures can be effectively scaled and maintained in the face of changing political, social and economic landscapes.

Key areas for securing the future include funding, policy development, education and training, research and innovation as well as collaboration across sectors. Abstracts aligned with the conference theme are encouraged, but submissions across all areas of preventive medicine and public health are welcome.

Join colleagues in public health and preventive medicine from across the county to learn from the premier experts in the field, network and build connections. PM2026 will feature:

  • Three days of educational sessions — covering the most important topics in public health and prevention.
  • Skill-building workshops — focusing on professional development and career enhancement.
  • Innovative plenary speakers — bringing new and exciting perspectives to the conversation.
  • Extensive networking and career development opportunities — supporting your career journey at all levels, from medical student to resident to early career physician to senior member of the field.
